The City of Victoria is quite diverse and contains diverse range of ethnic groups. Because the city is multicultural, it's also multilingual. Its people speak many different languages and many follow the traditions of their native lands, sometimes mixing them with Canadian culture.

In addition services by the Canadian Federal government are provided in both English and French.
