Students who study at KGIC have the option to live in a KGIC Dormitory, a home-stay, or arrange for their own accommodation. Whatever the option, Vancouver, Surrey , Victoria and Toronto are exciting places to live and to study. |
We believe that to learn English you must speak it during school time and after school time.
Homestay provides an excellent opportunity to practice English, to learn a new culture, and to establish relationships with local Canadians. Your host family has been carefully selected to ensure that you will be comfortable and welcome in your new home. In order to make your Homestay a meaningful and positive experience, you are encouraged to behave as a family member, to respect the family's way of life and to act in a caring manner.
Students should be aware that as Vancouver, Surrey, Victoria and Toronto are multi-cultural cities, most inhabitants hail from other cultures and backgrounds so students should not have preconceptions about what it means to be Canadian.
While staying at a homestay students can expect three meals a day, their own room, and the support of a friendly Canadian family.
And just so we can be sure that you are happy with your homestay arrangement, at the end of you stay we will hand out a homestay evaluation for you to complete.
