Resume Work shop
(or Career and Professional Planning CAPP Seminar)
Help is available for registered and eligible students who wish to find work in Canada, or for those students who want help in learning how to promote themselves in the international economy. The resume workshop seminar focuses on the following areas:
- Personal & personality assessments: What am I qualified to do? What do I want to do?
- Resume writing: creating eye-catching resumes.
- The interview: how to conduct oneself; the dos and don'ts of interviews.
- How to find a job: the top job search techniques available.
- Who can work in Canada? Information on who's eligible to work here, including NAFTA and work-visa considerations. ( See CO-op program).
- VISA and immigration considerations.
- Internet resources.

The seminar is held monthly, with individual follow-up work in between.

TOEIC sample test
KGIC offers a sample TOEIC test each month in class. We encourage our students to reach a certain target score in class. The class with the highest score usually wins a prize!
You can also test your English and take our sample TOEFL and TOEIC paper tests at no charge offered a few times after class throughout the year.
