Our Programs >> Summer Camps |

Dear parents and group leaders:
Throughout the time that I have been the director of our various theme camps, I have had the opportunity to work closely with students from many nationalities, and no matter where the students come from, the parents are always concerned about one thing:
The safety of their children.
I understand that sending a child or a group of young students overseas is not an easy decision to make. Because of this, the safety of the students in the summer program is my number one priority.
At KGIC, we make every effort to ensure the safety of your child at all times. |

When you decide to send your child to Canada to study English while making new friends and lifelong memories, you can feel assured that he or she is getting the best care possible for the entire time that he or she is in the program: from the moment of arrival to the time of departure.
Thank you for taking the time to consider KGIC's summer camp for your child!
Yours Sincerely,
Brooke Klassen

Service |
| |
KGIC provides various services to the children, parents and group leaders to ensure that the students are supervised at any given time and that our staff can be reached at any time (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) during the program. |

Teachers |
| |
Many of KGIC’s summer camp teachers are returning Canadian public school teachers, who, in their summer break, enjoy teaching and working with international children.
We typically have a staff to student ratio of 10:1 both in the school and on all outings.
This ratio is among the best in the industry. |
| |
|
 |
Canadian Students: |
| |
Each year we also have Canadian kids participating in the afternoon activities.
This allows our international students to have a chance to develop their English skills and make friends with a native English speaker. The students love this opportunity and so do the Canadians participating. We have a ratio of approximately 1 Canadian student for every 7 international students. |

Location |
| |
The KGIC summer campus is located in the greater Vancouver regional area, in the Delta school district. The Delta school board offers a state of the art facility. Our summer camp students will have the opportunity to be in a real Canadian classroom, as well as use all the facilities our partner schools have to offer. |

Homestay |
| |
Our homestay families are carefully selected and have been with us for many years. Furthermore, these homestay families will drop the students off and pick them up (after school and outings in the afternoon) every day in order to ensure supervision at all times.
Please feel free to contact us if you still have any questions
regarding
the safety of your child.
Thank you. |

Program: |
| |
Since 1997 KGIC has organized short-term thematic study/tour programs during the summer in July and August for students from all over the world.
Upon special request we have also designed programs for groups throughout the year.
Please contact us if you would like us to help you to design a special program for your group.
In all our programs, through our “themes” we give students the opportunity…
- To develop their creativity in a specific area.
- To be emerged in an English learning environment throughout the day.
- To build upon their teamwork and cooperation skills.
- To learn while having fun.
Typically students will:
- Spend the morning in the classroom for their English studies.
- Go on field trips in the afternoon.
- Work on the theme of the summer camp in their teams throughout their stay.
We offer 4 levels in our program:
Beginner, Low-Intermediate, High-Intermediate and Advanced
Activities during the summer include:
- A city tour
- Burnaby Village Museum
- Playland
- Waterslides Park
- An overnight camping trip in the outdoors of beautiful British Columbia
- A day trip to Victoria and the world-famous Butchart Gardens

MEMORY BOOK |
| |
KGIC creates a special memory book and CD at the end of the program for each participant.
This will ensure that our young participants will have memories of their experience in Canada that will last a lifetime. |
