Introduction


University of Toronto, Mississauga Campus, is approximately 225 acres located in City of Mississauga. UTM is a top ranked university with an outstanding education on a beautiful tree lined campus established in 1967. The dormitory is a five-storey building with a security guard 24/7 on site. All of the dorm rooms are suites with two private bedrooms. In each suite there is a private bathroom and a semi private washroom. Students will have free internet access in the lobby (common computers) and also has a jack in the room where students can hook up to the internet with their own computers. UTM Campus is landed on a 255-acre greenery. There are several fields where students can play soccer, volleyball and baseball. There is a very nice hiking trail with beautiful scenery.

English as a Second Language in Four Skills

 

Time English Classes
9:00 - 10:10am Grammar
10:20 -- 11:30am Reading and Writing
11:40 - 12:30 pm Listening
1:30 -- 2:45am Communication and Pronunciation

Placement test on orientation day. We offer Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced

 

Academic Workshops/Clubs: 3:00pm - 4:30 pm

Students will be able to choose a workshop to persue their individual interests. Our academic workshops is to provide our students with a feel of what it is like to study in a Canadian College environment and also be able to choose a workshop to pursue one's interest. At the graduation ceremony students will have the opportunity to exhibit their research and/or productions.

 

Daily Activities: 5:00 - 6:30 pm

Students will engage in different non-academic daily activities which include playing in different sports with other students or join a guest speaker session who will share life enriching experiences.

 

Homework Time: 7:30 - 8:30 pm

Counselors assist with daily homework and class work review.

 

Outings (every Wednesday & Saturday)

Some of the examples of the outings where students will visit include:CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, University of Toronto, Eaton Centre, Niagara Falls, Square One Shopping Centre, Wonderland, Blue Jays Major League Baseball Game, Science Centre, Wild Water Kingdom, African Lion Safari.

 

Daily Evening Activities: 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Games Night, Movie Night, English Journal, English
Lounge, Skit Night, Drama Night, Event Night.

Program Details


Age Group:

Twelve to Seventeen

Food:

3 nutritious meals included, plus one evening snack.

Transportation:

Airport Pick-up & Drop-o by KGIC.

Activities and entrance fees:

All included as per program outline.

Insurance:

Mandatory, is not included but can be added upon request additional.

Safety:

Is our priority and children are under supervision at all times.

Custodian Letter:

A notarized letter is mandatory for studentstraveling alone. For a price, please inquire.

Certifcates:

Students will receive various certicates of participation. A memory book will be sent to students at a later date. ( For English classes, workshop participation, outdoor activities).
